Dr Ahmed Al-Obaidi

Dr Ahmed is a dedicated and experienced GP who obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2025 after working in Australia since 2017 across various hospital and general practice settings. He has been providing high-quality, patient-centred care in the Macedon Ranges area since 2021, following his move from NSW as a GP trainee.

With a strong focus on men’s health, Dr Ahmed is passionate about heart health checks, health assessments, and empowering people to take control of their health. He enjoys tackling challenging cases and approaches each patient with a thorough, systematic method to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Dr Ahmed enjoys seeing people from all walks of life, and values building long-term, trusted relationships with his patients. He strives to make complex medical concepts easy to understand, often grabbing a pen and paper to sketch things out and ensure you leave with a clear picture of your health.

In addition to his clinical work, he enjoys teaching medical students and registrars, sharing his knowledge and experience to help shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.

When not working, Ahmed enjoys spending time with his family, hanging out with friends, and tinkering with gadgets, health tech — and more recently, home servers!!
